Homegrown Concerts proudly presents:

GROWING UP ELVIS -THE FIRST 21 YEARS!

Starring Toni Morrell & David Dial

ABOUT THE SHOW

Combining dramatic storytelling with dynamic live performances of many classic and beloved Elvis Presley hit songs, this “Storybook Concert” chronicles the first 21 years in the life of “The King of Rock n’ Roll!” – from his birth on January 8, 1935, through 1956, the year he became the most famous man on the planet.

This one-of-a-kind show includes a plethora of fascinating stories and anecdotes. You’ll learn many notable details about his humble beginnings; including his early childhood singing in the church choir, his days in public school and performing at local talent contests. As we delve into those definitive experiences and relationships that shaped Elvis into the man (and legend) he was to become, you’ll be introduced to Elvis’ family and friends, as well as some noteworthy gals who captured his heart along the way. And you’ll also get the inside story of how Elvis was really discovered, and the events leading to his meteoric rise to fame.

As we weave together the tapestry of his formative years leading up to fame, we’ll also be performing many of his greatest hits, including “Blue Suede Shoes,” ” All Shook Up,” and “That’s All Right Mama.” You’ll also hear some of Elvis’ personal concert favorites, such as “Burning Love,” “Polk Salad Annie,” and “Lord You Gave Me a Mountain” and many more.

Discover what it was really like…

If you would like to attend but are unable to manage a $20 donation, please call us, as all are welcome and we want you to come if seats are still available.

  2. Although these concerts are not open to the general public, but rather by private invitation to our friends and their guests, due to the possible “commercial nature”  (suggesting a $20 donation) relating to this event, we have been informed by our agent that our homeowners liability insurance likely not cover this gathering. As a result, in order to be able to hold this event in our home, we must regrettably ask that you and your guests be willing and agree to attend  “at your own risk” – by affirming the conditions outlined in the Waiver Agreement below. All guests will sign the form at the event upon entry.
  3. These private events are held in our “Home Theater” located on the ground floor in our two-story private residence. Please note that there are no ramps or special facility provisions for the handicapped in our home, so if these are necessary for you or any of your guests, we respectfully ask that you consider not attending.
